Ezekiel 4-6; Hebrews 9

The sacrifice of Jesus, the contrast of the Old Covenant and the New.  In Hebrews it is compared to a will, which cannot be enforced until the testator has passed away.  I can struggle with the idea that Jesus died as a ransom for many, that He “paid” our sinful debt.  Jesus’ sacrifice is much easier to embrace as a profound expression of Divine Love.

GOD’S ANSWER: You are close to having your arms around it.  That My Son died for you – God incarnate submitted Himself to the ultimate act of humility – and rose from the dead is My profession of infinite Love and the grounds for your hope to be with Us throughout eternity.
