Ezekiel 22-24; James 2
James 2:26 “Just as a body without a Spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.” This seems so intuitive to me, that it is not enough to believe (“…even the demons have faith, and tremble.”), that one’s works express the deepness and sincerity of one’s faith. It is God’s love within us in action. The sin is thinking the works generate merit; the parable of the Pharisee and the publican take note.
GOD’s ANSWER: You must love your neighbor as yourself, and be ready because I will provide you with ample opportunities to love your neighbor. And do not forget that everyone is your neighbor!
