Ezekiel 37-39; Peter 2

Peter 2:16 “Be free, yet without using freedom as a pretext for evil, but as slaves for God.”  Peter, the uneducated Galilean fisherman with a Chestertonian paradox: be free, but be a slave.  I refer to Saint Pope John Paul II’s statement “Freedom is not doing anything we want, but being allowed to do what we ought.”  And Happy Thanksgiving – go have more pie!

GOD’S ANSWER: As good fathers and mothers on earth don’t let their children always do what they want, and teach them to do what they ought because they love them and want them to flourish, so I am such a Father to all My children.  And yes, have another piece of pie if you really want one….small piece.
