Dueteronomy 10-12; Luke 4

Luke 4:12 “Jesus said to him in reply, “It also says ‘You shall not put the Lord your God, to the test.’””

I think this is something people seldom do consciously today, challenging God directly; e.g. “If You truly exist, you will <fill in the blank>.”  But we can live our lives by a set of unconscious assumptions, and when something bad happens and those assumptions are challenged, we can get angry with God and even reject and hate God.  God has failed the unspoken test we put Him to every day.  Lord, strengthen me in my conviction that You love each and every one of Your children in a personal way, and from whatever happens in this life You bring greater good from evil and always know best.

GOD’S ANSWER: My love never wanes.  As your own children trust you, trust Me.
