Samuel 19-21: John 10

John 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and I know mine and mine know me,

Jesus identifies with himself as the Good Shepherd of Psalm 22, perhaps the most enduring and comforting imagery for Christians in Scripture.  It is a fruitful reflection to think about what makes a one a good sheep.  Number one of course is to listen to the Shepherd’s voice, but even more importantly is to follow the Shepherd.  I want to follow you always Good Shepherd, even when I tremble because the way seems treacherous!
